CU opens a first British campus in Poland

Coventry University decided to open a new campus abroad, that is according to its official website. The opening of the campus is set to September 2019.

The Guardian University Guide 2019 has ranked Coventry University as the 13^thbest university in the United Kingdom and as the UK’s top modern university. CU is best known as an innovative British university. In 2019, it created an opportunity to provide high quality education to students in Poland.

Mrs Karolina Grzyb, the director of ARAW’s Business Support Centre, admitted that collaboration with British university will bring many positives to Wroclaw: “It will allow both local and international students to get a Bachelor and Master Degree at many important courses such as IT, Business, or Cyber Security”.

Opening a CU campus in Poland will also expand the education offer in Poland. The ARAW’s Business Support Centre representative admitted that thanks to the British university, Poland will gain thousands of experienced workers thanks to whom Wroclaw will develop into innovative and vibrant city.

Many future students asked themselves what will the application process look like. Mrs Karolina Grzyb dispelled the students’ doubts: “The application process will be the same as at CU main campus. Applicants will be required to know English at a communicative level, because all modules will be taught in that language. For students who do not have a satisfactory level of English, there will be additional language courses”.

What opportunities will this collaboration bring to Coventry University? Ms Sara Morastiew, Air Transport Management student at Coventry University, said: “This collaboration between city of Wroclaw and Coventry University will definitely bring many students to Coventry, because if they want to get a British degree and they do not find a course that they like at Wroclaw Campus, they will be more likely to send their application to the main campus.”

Coventry University’s collaboration with Poland will also promote British culture and language in Poland. What is more, that collaborative work may help CU to get a better rank in the next year’s Guardian the British University ranking.
